Abstract: This thesis aims to interpret the novel from the perspective of ecofeminism. It introduces the concept of ecofeminisim, analyzes the ecofeministic consciousness reflected in the novel, and elaborates the close relationship between women and nature. By analyzing the process of the salvation of black women under the guidance of nature, this thesis discusses the restoration of natural order in black community along with individual salvation. The author points out the instructive meaning of ecofeminism for the establishment of a healthy and fair society and suggests directions for further research.
