【摘 要】随着科技的进步，网络的迅速普及，传媒市场竞争日益加剧，拥有巨大优势的央视、各级卫视、地市电视台乃至新兴媒体都对县级电视台形成了强大的压力。县电视台的经营状况不容乐观，生存发展遇到了前所未有的困难。在国家倡导深化文化体制改革、推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣的背景下，县电视台如何在逆境中求生存、抓住机遇求发展是我们应考虑的重大问题。本文以地处江苏的建湖电视台为考察样本，初步探讨建湖电视台的现状和存在的问题，最后，提出了在新形势下，县级电台实现发展的路径。
