摘要:留守儿童是社会发展过程中催生出来的一个特殊群体，这个特殊群体处于未成年阶段，属于生理性弱者；同时，他们的父母流动，所生活的家庭结构不完整，是社会性弱者，在社会结构中处于弱势地位。
对于“留守儿童”而言，其教育方面存在的问题比较集中，主要是在目前的家庭环境中享受不到健全的家庭教育，缺乏亲情的抚慰与关怀，心理问题比较突出，品德教育不到位；学习生活当中倍感无助，行为约束能力较普通孩子弱，容易发生意外伤害。留守儿童教育问题对个体、教育和社会的影响都是不可估量的，留守儿童所在的家庭、学校以及社会、政府部门必须充分重视起来，各自承担起责任，逐步建立起农村留守儿童社会支持体系。
